Las Caletas, Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta was my favorite part of this trip! We took a boat with Vallarta Adventures to Las Caletas Beach Hideaway which was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. If you ever have the chance to go there do not miss that opportunity!

The boat ride to Las Caletas is about 30-40 minutes but you certainly won’t be bored! The view is absolutely breathtaking and the crew is entertaining and hilarious.

When you arrive in Las Caletas you get off of the boat and head to lunch right on the beach while at the same time being in the jungle. Thats one of the beautiful things about this place the jungle ends and the beach begins. Its like two different worlds collided.

After lunch there is no end to the activities offered. The first thing we did was go to the animal encounters. There’s monkeys, snakes, and parrots that they actually let you hold and take pictures with. Then of course there were the creatures I wasn’t too excited to see, bugs. I left Las Caletas with several itchy bites so if you do get the chance to go there bring the bug spray!!

The water activities are endless in Las Caletas. The beach is closed off so you can swim freely while still feeling safe. We swam around and saw all kinds of fish, the most exciting were a pair of puffer fish swimming around. We also went snorkeling and paddle boarding which was pretty incredible!

We only had one day in Puerto Vallarta and Las Caletas took up most of our time so we didn’t really get the chance to see the actual city but if I could do it again I wouldn’t change it! Las Caletas was beautiful and so much fun!!
